Chad Thompson, a regional partner for benefit underwriter Thrivent Financial for Lutherans, presented a $10,000 check to support New Life and special needs adoption.
New Life resident Valerie, 16, showed off her putting skills at the benefit. Valerie and three other New Life residents came to the benefit to show their appreciation for the support.
Volunteers El and Jane Belanger worked hard to make sure the golfers had a good time at the benefit. Thank you to all volunteers who came out to help the girls of New Life and special needs children.

Golf Benefit raises record $70,000 for New Life Children's Center and special needs adoption

Austin, Texas - Central Texas golfers raised more than $70,000 for the treatment and care of abused and neglected children and special needs adoption at the Tomorrow’s Child Golf Benefit on Sept. 18.

News 8 Austin reporter Amy Hadley spoke to the golfers about the importance of support networks for children. Hadley has years of experience working with children through her weekly segment, Forever Families, which matches hard to adopt children with families. Residents from New Life also joined golfers at the benefit to show their appreciation for the continued support of the Austin community.
